Hello Donna,

As I read your message, so many things come to mind:

1.
Does the stubborn message appear in the email app of your mobile device? If
so, then perhaps your work computer did not remove it from the mail servers.

2.
Is there a web interface for your work email account? If so, login using your
preferred browser and see if the message appears there.

3.
Many universities, in California anyway, are now using Google as the host for
their email accounts. Does your university host its own email accounts? or has
it switched over to Google. If it has switched to Google, there may be an
issue with Labels.

4.
If you have confirmed that the stubborn message only exists on your Mac, then
perhaps you should try taking the account, containing the stubborn message,
offline, then putting it back online, and then manually synchronizing the
account.

5.
>From within the Mail application, you can attempt to re-build the database.

6.
If all else fails, you can always delete the account, with the stubborn
message, from your Mac, and then re-creating it again. Or, if you just want to
test, you can create a new account, in the Mail application, with the same
credentials as the old one, and see if the message appears in the new account.

Finally, there is a way to reset all of the databases in the Mail application,
externally, by deleteing a file/folder but I cannot remember the exact
name/locations of them. I'm certain a quick Google search will net you the
answer.

Good Luck,

Mark

Subject: can't delete a message sent via Outlook

Hi all,

At work I use MS Outlook. I have a message that was sent to me from my
university that I absolutely cannot delete. I've tried closing mail,
restarting the computer, and this message will not go away. this despite the
fact that I have successfully deleted it from my computer at work. Anyone know
what could cause this, and how do I get rid of this stupid message?
thanks,
Donna
