I’ve had this issue before, In my case I’ve accidentally clicked the trackpad while I was typing, and this for some reason caused my keyboard to no longer input any characters. A restart of the computer resolved the issue though. What I’ve done to stop this from happening is to disable the “trackpad commander” until it’s needed. I hope this helps you.
