I'm not sure, but I think that some of the lag that VO users are experiencing might be due to the fact that Yosemite is using a bit more ram than previous os's used. I'm actually a Zoom user, and I see a little lag when dragging around the window (using picture-in-picture zooming). And a little jumpiness in mail when zoom is being focused to a new message after deleting the current focused message.
