Hi,

There's likely an issue with the built-in Trackpad.  The easiest way to confirm 
or remedy this would be to go into the Accessibility pane of System Preferences 
and select the Mouse option from within the Table.  Stop Interacting with the 
Table and check the box that tells the OS to ignore your built-in Trackpad when 
an external mouse/Trackpad is connected.  Connect any USB or Bluetooth mouse 
and it should be usable.
