Christine,

It's time for a work-around.  Yeah!  Open the folder that contains the files 
for the book in question.  Find the file with a XML extension.  Press the 
return on it & change the X in XML to HT for HTML.  You'll be asked if sure you 
wish to make the change.  Press return to accept the default option.  Then, 
VO-SpaceBar on the changed file to open & read with Safari.
