Hi,

Not sure if it's exactly the same, but, I've had a number of white MacBooks do
a similar thing where they randomly go to sleep. Pressing a key or two wakes
them up then they'll work for a bit, and do it all over again. These were
units at work so I did lots of disk and permission repairs, reinstalls of OS
versions from Snow Leopard to Mavericks with, originally, limited success then
finding out after a couple hours of use that the frustration started over
again. The only thing that fixed this issue for me was replacing the battery.
Even though the battery, in some cases, didn't really look like it needed
replacing, once the new one was installed, all worked properly.

HTH.
