hello, I hope someone has a solution for this (and upgrading to mavericks or even OS X Mt. Lion is not possible). I have been seeing some strange behavior out of my macbook of late.
example 1: I load safari and go to a website. Safari goes busy and causes voiceover to go silent. Pressing cmd+F5 turns off voiceover, but then, I can't get it to restart. From what I am able to tell, safari (the latest update that works in Lion) causes a resource lag. switching to another app and trying to restart voiceover results in no start there either. I am forced to have to turn off the machine and restart it in order to get things back to a working state. example 2: mail will go busy for no apparent reason, or simply lag when reporting its state (like deleting a message). THis has been increasing a lot lately. recently, in order to overcome these issues, I wiped and reinstalled (from a lion image as the recovery partition installer won't talk to the app store) and that seemed to solve the problems. Unfortunately, that didn't last long. it seems they are back, especially after the recent security updates. anything I can do about this? my system is a mac 3.1 with 4 gb of ram, 250 gb HDD and 2 Ghz core 2 duo. Since I m not in the habit of running more than 3 apps at the same time, I am not sure what is causing the problems. anyone have suggestions? -eric -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
