Hi, I'm not sure why there's all this noise about privacy. The album showed up in your Purchased section of your iTunes account. If you didn't want the album, you simply ignored it, didn't bother downloading it and life goes on. There's thousands of free apps out there, songs of the week that are free for the taking and much more, we download or ignore as we feel fit. In fact, iOS 8 is coming out this Friday, it's free for those of us who wish to use it. You'll likely get some notifications from Apple and Software Update that it's ready for you. Whether you choose to download and install is your prerogative, it's certainly not a privacy issue that it was made available to you. Send back my Apple device just because I was given a free U2 album that I may or may not enjoy, seems a little over the top.
