Hello, Have you tried the Bookshare web reader? It will open up the book in an HTML browser window, and there's buttons for previous and next, a table of contents, and basic navigation to get through the book. As far as contrast, I can't speak to that offering, but perhaps the web reader may give you some direction and help while reading on the Mac. HTH, Rachel.
