Jenine,

As an alternative to buying a new airprint capable printer there are a
couple ways to make your older printers available to your iOS devices.
There are a number of airprint capable print servers that can attach to
your printer and then present them on the (wireless) network as airprint
printers. You can also install airprint software on a PC or Mac on the
network that will make the printers available as well. I have seen oPrint
for PCs which is free and might be the ticket if you have a desktop PC on
the network that stays powered on. This is the disadvantage of using
software installed on a PC or Mac as opposed to one of the network print
server adapters.
