Hi Kevin, to which defect are you referring? VO can indeed be configured to speak at the login screen, as per the message posted by Chris. Even if you have FileVault enabled, a full disk encryption system, there is audible feedback as you are unlocking your drive. I don’t think there’s a defect here, in fact I think it’s all quite well designed to be quite honest. When Windows 8.1 was my primary operating system, I had no audible feedback at all when BitLocker required authentication.
