Dear listers, Fision is an audio editor that lets you split m4a files losslessly, among many other things. Rather than reading and decoding an m4a, editing it, and then re-encoding it with the usual loss of audio quality, this editor leaves the audio compressed and intact. It just arranges the compressed audio frames, so that you can trim an m4a, aiff etc. That is very cool, and very useful.
I've been trying to work with this editor from Rogueamoeba, but it seems that not everything is accessible. For example, the set sel ection dialog, which should be very straight forward with select from and select to, ok and cancel, does not seem to have edit fields. Fision seems a great tool, and it has a trial version. Could any of you tell me if it is at all possible to enter information into the edit fields in this dialog? Interested to know.
