Hello, I had all sorts of problems when I installed Win 8 in bootcamp. The solution to my situation was to make the iso image and place it on the desktop. In bootcamp, there should be 3 checkboxes. When all was said and done, Win 8 installed from the external DVD drive where the Win 8 disk was located. I'm not sure why you don't have 3 items to check in the bootcamp dialog box. Maybe someone else can chime in. HTH.
