I have taken a look at this book and it appears to be extremely well written with some humor sprinkled throughout. The book will be especially useful for those with some useable vision, although a totally blind person can certainly benefit as well. The author takes the unique approach of teaching from the point of the trackpad and menus, rather than the traditional VO keystroke approach, although VO keystrokes are certainly included.
