The only files left be hind are configuration and data files that do nothing to 
your system.
They are usually found in ~/Library/Application Support/<app name> or, in the 
case of a sandboxed app: ~/Library/Containers/<App Bundle 
ID>/Data/Library/Application Support/<app name>.  There are allso stuff in 
Saved Application State, but again, it is nothing.
Most resources used by the app are contained in the app bundle itself.  So 
moving it to the trash  is all you need to do.
