guys,
I'm still practicing on my wife's Mac powerbook with Leopard and
Voiceover. I was looking at my Gmail account and while I could arrow down
the list of messages and hear the first few lines of the message after the
subject was read, I couldn't open the message to read the entire thing in
Gmail. When writing to you on my PC, I use Outlook 2002 and it downloads
all my mail from Gmail and leaves copies on server. But when I was reading
the mail on my wife's Mac, I couldn't actually open the message to read it.
I tried both VO spacebar and a straight ENTER, and neither opened the
message. What was I doing wrong? How do I open a whole Gmail message in
Leopard with Voiceover. Remember that because my wife's machine is Power
PC, I won't be able to upgrade it to SL and VO. I was using DOM in Safari
if that matters.
Thanks,
Kevin
PS. It just now occurs to me that I may not have chosen interact with
message before trying either of those two opening methods. Could that have
been the problem?
