hi, it is not cp or as you call it copy that you need but "scp" note the quotes that i made round the word. basically as i recall it it is a long time ago i used it you gotta write something like this. scp *.extension, root@ipadress/place/where.you.want.thefiles/ if you want more information as you copy it you can set a -vvv in before the rest of the line, if that don't work let me know and i will help you out .:) Sandi
