In a conversation, you see the most recent message in the list, but when you 
open it, it opens all the messages in the conversation. It will read the oldest 
first. Simply press delete to delete the message you are reading and get to the 
next one, or if you want to keep the message, use command-w to close it and get 
back to the list. I love conversation view.
