Hi, I seldom, if ever shutdown my Mac. My MBP is put to sleep at night simply due to the fact that I close the lid whereas my other Desktop Macs stay on, 24-7-365. In fact, the computer is set to stay awake and only the display goes to sleep. Just makes it easier for me to access other computers when they're awake.
