I use gnu screen that comes with os10 to do multitasking and multiple simultaneous terminal sessions. I can download a large amount of material while browsing or doing email for example.
There is also tmux which does the same thing. There is a macports version of this.
Has anyone had experience with the latter and is it worth installing? What differences would make it worth using the latter over the former?
