Hi Linda!
I just opened up a 500 page document in pages and used the fn key along with 
down arrow which moved me to the next page.  Also option-fm-downarrow will move 
you to the next page along with the insertion point--or at least I think that's 
what happens.
Hope this helps and if I didn't understand your question correctly then clarify 
and maybe somebody can help you.
