May, Currently, given all of the issues discussed in previous posts to this thread, I have elected to run Windows 7 using Fusion. In short, One launches Windows 7 as if it were another application. In fact, one can access the SL Desktop while at the same time having access to Windows 7 using Jaws. It's really quite amazing. I have gone so far as to install Office 2007, Skype, and a host of other Windows based apps in my virtual copy of Windows 7.
I believe the rule of thumb is that, for best results, one should have at least 2GB of ram on board. Windows 7 is rated to work very well on 1GB of RAM as evidenced by its stunning performance on PC NetBooks. Man, why can't everything work for mac as well. Really don't want windows on this computer, lol.
