sir alex: thanks for your response. concerning windows, I was using 2 windows in finder, I didn't try to use command n, I will try that. concerning the escape key, in all menues, even the vo+m to go to the apple menu, escape can not close the window.
what do you mean by interacting with my list of files? I hit cmd}\}2 and after I go to any folder, I find the table, I interact with it, is it what you mean?
