Hi.

The differences is that the OCR engine has been updated, it is easier to scan 
and process multipage documents, the results are better quality, I have noticed 
that quoted text is handled better. You can also scan double page, and 
finereader will seperate the pages before doing OCR. There are more 
differences. I will recommend you to try it out.
