Hello Folks, I am hoping that someone can jog my memory on how to accomplish this tast. I create a new doc and save it to my documents folder on my Mac Air. I want to move this file to a subfolder in my docs folder. This is what I do, but I must be missing a step. 1. Go to my docs folder in my home group. 2. go to the file (using navigation techs) to highlight the file I want to move. 3. Press CMD-C to copy the file. 4. Go to the subfolder I want to move the file into and make sure it is highlighted. 5. I don't expand it, but use the keystroke CMD-Option-V to move it there.
When I try this procedure, the file does not move into the subfolder. Can anyone shed some light on this and give me advise on how to get this done. Thanks in advance.
