Hi, Not sure where they got those times from. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Mac boot up that slow since the early 90's. My MBP is ready to login after about 6 or 7 seconds, although, that's with an SSD. My iMac takes about a minute, has a spinning HD, is running Server software, and it has four external drives connected. I've forgotten where this thread started and what kind of machine you're running.
