Ahh...

  I guess I didn't read beyond your initial question.  Sorry.  Selecting the 
Screensaver is as I mentioned, but making sure that your machine doesn't sleep 
before the Screensaver kicks in is an additional consideration.  You're right, 
that would be in the Energy Saver pane.
