I can't replicate this. Well very occasionally I can, but usually mine speaks 
the time in about two seconds. If there's a lot going on it's a little slower. 
I don't think it has ever been 30 seconds though. 
This is a Macbook Pro. we have an Air at work which is slightly slower. I 
should see if the processor makes all that much difference.
