Hello, I know this response may be off topic to this list, but I want to give you a possible solution to move your favorites in IE. This is how I have done it in the past:
1. On the PC, open the run dialog box with the Windows key and the letter R. 2. Type "favorites" in the edit box and press enter. 3. The favorites list will now be displayed. 4. Select all of the bookmarks in the usual manner. This can either be by control-A (select all) or by holding down the control and use the arrow keys, find the favorite and press the spacebar to highlight it. 5. Press control-C to copy. 6. probably the easiest way to transfer is to place the IE favorites selected on to a thumb drive and then insert it into an USB port on your Mac machine.
