I am following this thread myself. My understanding is that lillypond
creates quality scores for printing. I do not understand the human
readable question since the idea is for humans to read and play your lead
sheets.
interesting question about playback though.
My guess is that you are to already have an idea, the program serves the
in graving process if that makes sense.
Still I may be wrong.
