Interesting. My wife uses cox for email on her phone. So what kind of
issues did you run into with IMAP. She is using POP now and gets annoyed
because her laptop slurps up all the email from the account when she
checks it there. I might try to switch her to IMAP but I don't want to
step into more problems.

Yahoo has always been a problem, as is, of course, Gmail. iCloud keeps up pretty well.
periodically, I just go to the Mailboxes menu and choose "synchronize all
accounts" and it seems to catch up.
