Hi Mike, with IOS 7 you can gain back this functionality in the control centre. Here's what I suggest you do. 1. go to the status bar 2. Once here swipe up with three fingers going up the screen this should bring up the control centre for you. 3. Keep swiping right until you here lock orientation it is a toggle so you can turn it on or off. 4. Turn it on and with your phone in port rate mode that should be it.
