I've heard that Omni Focus is pretty accessible on iOS. I'm a big fan and user
of task management apps, and I'v heard lots of good things about Omni Focus
from non-VoiceOver users. For any task management system to work for me I have
to be able to use it on my Mac. So I decided to download and trial Omni Focus.

I didn't trial it extensively, but it appears most things are doable with
VoiceOver, but there are a few issues that make it not a viable option.

Firstly, VoiceOver performance is really sluggish in the app for some reason.
This just makes everything a pain and really slow, which is not what anyone
wants in a productivity app. This sluggishness is the main reason why I didn't
test it extensively. I'm running Mountain Lion with 16GB RAM. Does anyone know
what could be causing this sluggishness?

Secondly, for tasks like selecting a project from a list of predefined options
the app doesn't seem to use a normal popup menu or anything like that. You have
to VO-SHIFT-SPACE and then interact with a table and then VO-SHIFT-SPACE on the
selection. You can't navigate by first letter among the options in the table,
and just using the arrow keys doesn't work either. This might not be so bad
normally, but with the extra sluggishness it's really a bit of a pain.

Just wanted to let anyone know, and if others have different experiences,
particularly better ones, I'd really like to hear. I really like Apple's
Reminders, but a more powerful task management app would be great.

Cheers,
Nic
