Hi Yuma, Have you run Software Update since installing Snow Leopard? There was an update a couple of days ago. I haven't seen the problem of e-mail messages not being read automatically since I installed it, though that doesn't necessarily mean it's fixed. Worth trying, anyway.
As for reading e-mail, you can either press Enter to open and read the focused message, or if Preview Pane is on, press VO-J to jump between the message headers and the message. Either way, the splitters are irrelevant.
