There is also the concern that posting an entire article may very well violate the terms of use or copyright. I don't post entire articles since most generally have a disclaimer that clearly states no reprint, redistribution bla bla etc. and that is why I send the link only. Whether or not anyone enforces this I don't know, but some mailing lists do not allow reposting of articles either.
