Hi Anouk I am currently a law student at the University of Michigan law school in the US. My classes also heavily rely on books and course packs. I'm currently using Kurzweil 1000 under fusion to handle all my scanning needs. My scanner, which has both an ADF and flatbed works with twain sane, which is an open source project that emulates many scanner drivers for the macintosh. However, I was unable to get vuescan to work with twain-sane, and when I called readiris technical support, they expressed their doubts that the product would work. Twain sane is an emulator, not an official twain driver, so the iris folks said it most likely would not work. That's a shame, as apparently readiris can handle multiple pages put into an ADF simultaneously. Has anybody gotten Vuescan to work with twain sane? How about ReadIris? I am willing to pay for either program, but want to make sure it all works first. As for games, I want to talk about that, but think it would be off topic here since they're all windows. Please email me off list and I'd be happy to tell you which ones are awesome. On Sep 4, 2009, at 2:55 PM, anouk radix wrote:
