Hi!

I know of a friend who does this, I think he uses something called  
Wumpus? Excuse my spelling.  I think there's also another FTP server  
application called Captain Ftp.

Further to this, OS10 Leopard has a small FTP Server built-in, that is  
to say you can access your Mac with a FTP client and transfer files  
from there to say other machines on your network, - not recommended  
for Internet use for obvious security reasons -.  You can turn this on  
under Sharing in System Preferences.

Finally, I'm sure I read an article somewhere which gave specific  
instructions on turning your Mac into a fully fledged FTP server using  
a whole string of commands in Terminal but I didn't persist with this.
