Hi, Spoken Menus is the third option in the Settings/General Settings menu. Maybe it got set to off somehow. Also, maybe the language got set to something else; this would make the iPod stop talking. If that's the case, the last option in Settings is REset Settings; if you select that, you're on the screen to choose a language. The first language is U.S. English and the second one is U.K. English.
