Hello everyone, I only bring this up here because many of us try to conserve battery use on the MacBook line of computers. So far, I have not attempted this on my MacBook Pro. How ever, on my iMac, this is the problem. After the latest OS X update, and I mean the Combo update. When I reset brightness back to 0, after a reboot, or a cold start, the display goes back to 100 brightness. I am holding on running the latest update on my MacBook Pro, till this problem is corrected. Has anyone else had this problem. Perhaps you might want to try it. You could use F1 to lower the brightness or you could go to Display under system Preferences. Thanks for any input in advance. Dan
