Hi Donna,

You're using a MicroSoft only configuration for email that is not
internet standard. You should be able to go to the tools menu of MS
Outlook or Outlook Express and click "Option", and then click the Mail
Format or "Send" tab. Under the Send tab is the message format list.
You want to select plain text or HTML (not Rich Text Format) and click
OK.

Here's the MicroSoft Knowledge Base page that describes the problem
and solution (probably in more detail than you need):
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290809

Or, you could move your files between machines by following the
instructions Jonathan posted for setting up SMB on the Mac. (I've
never quite done it this way, but I have used the Command-K "Connect
to server" shortcut from Finder, and then typed in something like
smb://192.168.1.2
where the latter set of digits is the local network address. For
connections to other macs, use something like afp://192.168.1.2)

Cheers,

Esther
