Hi, It sounds like Porticus is running the command "port upgrade outdated" when it is started. There used to be a bug in Macports where if you ran that command and nothing was out of date, it would give that message. I thought that it had been fixed though.
I've never used Porticus. Does it close down after that message? Sounds to me like you just need to get it to stop running that command at start-up. You might also check your version of Macports by running "sudo port -d selfupdate". I'm assuming that Porticus is just a graphical front for Macports.
