Not sure about importing contacts since I really don't store those on my computer but I can heolp with the keyboard question. A usb windows keyboard will work fine. When you connect it, the mac will probably ask you to press certain keys so that it can determine what type of keyboard you are using. The other thing to keep in mind is, the windows key on those keyboards will be the command key and the alt key will be the option key. Other than that, it should work fine.
