Hi Arthur and Dan, Dan has answered the main question by pointing out that you can use VO- H to get information on the fields in an address book, but here are a few other tips. Take a look at the notes about Address Book at Tim Kilburn's web site for VoiceOver:

If you're creating new entries in your address book, there's an "Add Sender to Address Book" option under mail (Command-Shift-Y) that will add the name and email address from the message you're currently reading to your address book. If you look under the "Window" menu of your mail menu bar (VO-M to menu bar, press "w" to go to "Window" and arrow down), you'll find an "Address Panel" with shortcut Command- Option-A and a "Previous Recipients". The Command-Option-A shortcut toggles on or off the "Address Panel", which is an abbreviated form of your Address Book for use in mail that will allow you to check that email addresses have been added. The "Previous Recipients" option brings up a list of the names and addresses of people you have sent email to. You can select entries in the table and use the "Add to Address Book" button, or you can delete entries. Command-W to close windows when done.
