Hi Mike,

Just use your print option (Command-P) and use item chooser menu to go to the 
PDF menu button in the Printer Dialog Window.  One of the options will be "Save 
as PDF".  For more details, see this recent post in the archives:

This is a general Mac feature that you can use in any application, not just 
TextEdit or Pages, to save as a PDF.  (Of course, if you use it on a scanned 
image of a page, you wont' be able to read the contents without OCR, but 
printing from text is fine.)
