I am not sure if you rander the varenty by doing it your self but the mac i did it on was more dead than alive and i had not applecare for it so it had to get some sandicare instead. If anyone need more help Let me know. But the really frustrating part is the screws that holds the harddrive in its holder... the screws are not alone small but you might also need a special tool for it, At least i know i had to get quite creative when i came to that part.
