I have run VMWare although I never checked what speed my USB ports were. 
How do you find out? I did use it with my Jaws USB lisc. key and that 
was recognized/installed so my Jaws would work without going into 
45-minute demo mode. In general I found Jaws on Parallels could not 
install the video intercept without causing a blue-screen of death crash 
on startup. I had no such issues with VMWare.
