Hey, that was my first computer, too!  I programmed those for my high  
school--the Apple IIC or IIE (same thing, different shape).  Wow, if  
you left it behind for windows, you must have really gotten a lot of  
use out of that thing!  I think you're better off with a Mac,  
personally.

I do not have a clue about Bible software, I'm very sorry to say.   
What I would suggest is that anything on the web would be accessible,  
and lots of sites have the Bible, Koran, Torah, whatever, and whatever  
search engine is needed to find stuff therein.  I also know some  
people on this list have discussed this before, so I'm hoping one of  
them will stick up a hand, then put it down again and type a helpful  
response.  :)  Let me know how I may assist further--Honor is to serve.
