Hi Will, Here is one method you can use:
1) Open your pdf in Preview 2) Go to the Save As menu item under the File menu and save the file as a jpg file 3) Open VueScan from www.hamrick.com , set the Source to File, set your jpg file (from the pdf) as source file, set Media to Text, go to the Output settings and check the OCR text checkbox...and press the Scan button 4) Your TextEdit app will open with an OCR scan of your jpg file. Hope this helps... ;-) Take care, John André Netland, A-Pro Studio Norway On 2. mars. 2009, at 15.15, william lomas wrote: > > hi is there a mac program that can OCR an image? > I have a PDF document of an exam paper I want to see, but it appears > it is just the image of the page > what can I do? > regards will > > > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
