Bug description:
On a fresh install of 10.10 desktop 64-bit RC on my macbookpro 5,4, the
backlight controls worked perfectly, even without pommed. However, it stopped
working after switching over to nvidia-current. I loaded the mbp_nvidia_bl
driver in debug mode, and verified that it is trying to change the backlight,
even though it doesn't seem to work:
dmesg output (timestamps removed):
mbp_nvidia_bl: setting brightness to 15
mbp_nvidia_bl: setting brightness to 14
mbp_nvidia_bl: setting brightness to 13
mbp_nvidia_bl: setting brightness to 12
mbp_nvidia_bl: setting brightness to 11
Installing pommed did not help.
