Hi sdistefano,
Please, if you are still having issues, test with the latest development release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p alsa-base 484576 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Status in Mactel Support: New Status in “alsa-driver” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Ubuntu 9.10 After having fixed the problem everyone's having about not having any sound output jack at all (using alsamixer), now I have sound from the left channel only. If I do speaker-test it'll try Front Left only, unless I add -c2 to it, in which case it'll try Front right too but it will output no sound. Please let me know what kind of reports I should be sending to you, but this is just the ubuntu live cd (in a usb stick) pretty much out of the box on a macbook 2.1 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
